Path::Resolve - node.js path module in perl

SYNOPSIS

use Path::Resolve;

my $path = Path::Resolve->new();

my $file = $path->resolve('./r/p/../file.txt');
my $ext  = $path->extname($file);

DESCRIPTION

This module behaves exactly like node.js path module, it doesn't check for path validity, it only works on strings and has utilities to resolve and normalize path strings.

If you're looking for system specific path module that can create, check, chmod, copy ... etc. then take a look at Path::Tiny

METHODS

normalize(p)

Normalize a string path, taking care of '..' and '.' parts.

join([path1][, path2][, ...])

Join all arguments together and normalize the resulting path.

resolve([from ...], to)

Resolves to to an absolute path.

isAbsolute(path)

Determines whether path is an absolute path.

relative(from, to)

Solve the relative path from from to to.

dirname(p)

Return the directory name of a path. Similar to the Unix dirname command.

basename(p[, ext])

Return the last portion of a path. Similar to the Unix basename command.

extname(p)

Return the extension of the path, from the last '.' to end of string in the last portion of the path.

sep

he platform-specific file separator. '\\' or '/'.

delimiter

The platform-specific path delimiter, ; or ':'.

parse(pathString)

Returns a parsed object from a path string.

format(pathObject)

Returns a path string from an object, the opposite of parse method above.
