POD samples was stupidly using the variable $cksum as both the object and to hold the result of the calculation.

Perl extension for calculating checksums in a manner compatible with the POSIX cksum program.

To install String::CRC::Cksum, copy and paste the appropriate command in to your terminal.

cpanm String::CRC::Cksum

perl -MCPAN -e shell
install String::CRC::Cksum
