The DiaColloDB::XS package provides optimized XS subroutines for some compile-time DiaColloDB operations. If it is available on your system, it should be implicitly used by the higher-level wrapper methods if and where appropriate. Otherwise, compatibile pure-perl fallback methods should be used.
