This document describes version 0.002 of Sorter::file_by_mtime (from Perl distribution Sorter-file_by_mtime), released on 2024-09-19.
SYNOPSIS
use Sorter::file_by_mtime;
my $sorter = Sorter::file_by_mtime::gen_sorter();
my @sorted = $sorter->("newest", "old", "new");
# => ("old", "new", "newest")
Reverse:
$sorter = Sorter::file_by_mtime::gen_sorter(reverse=>1);
@sorted = $sorter->("newest", "old", "new");
# => ("newest", "new", "old")
DESCRIPTION
This sorter assumes items are filenames and sort them by modification time (mtime).
SORTER ARGUMENTS
follow_symlink
Bool, default true. If set to false, will use lstat()
function instead of the default stat()
.
reverse
Bool.

Most of the time, you don't need to build the distribution yourself. You can simply modify the code, then test via:
% prove -l
